Volunteers required

As you are probably aware our Group Scout Leader, Ben, is getting married next month.
I am arranging a "Guard of Honour" for when Ben and Gail leave the church, so volunteers are needed to perform this role.
I need 20 Scouts/explorers to perform this role. Uniform will be worn and turnout MUST be immaculate.
If you are interested in this role can you contact me as soon as possible.

Last year I posted an entry on how we can raise funds for 3rd Brampton Scouts just by browsing the internet. A few people took up the idea, but not really as many as i'd hoped!
However here's a reminder:-

If like me you do a lot of your shopping online, then next time you're looking for something please consider using the link I will be posting on the site, and already posted below.

Everything you need, all in one place

A typical family can raise around £300 for us in donations in a year, by shopping for the things they need through the easyfundraising site.

Have you or your family bought any of the following in the past year: books, CDs, DVDs, clothing, electrical items, flowers, furniture, games, gifts, toys, or wine and food? You may be surprised to know that you can purchase all of these through easyfundraising, and raise money for us at the same time.

You can also insure your car, home and pets through easyfundraising, as well as purchase holidays, flights and train tickets, switch utility suppliers, apply for credit cards and take out breakdown cover, plus much more. Every transaction you make results in a free donation for us, so please support us by using this fantastic site.

Before you know it, Birthdays will be here so don't leave your birthday shopping to the last minute, log onto www.easyfundraising.org.uk/3rdbs and get ahead of the game.

Argos have recently joined easyfundraising and as one of the UK's favourite stores, you probably shop with them already so why not make shopping even easier for you and help us raise the funds we need by doing it all online this year? Log onto www.easyfundraising.org.uk/3rdbs and click on the Argos link for great value, regular deals and a fantastic range of products.

A survey last year by Deloitte & Touche showed the average spend per person over Christmas was estimated at £706. If that seems a lot, don't forget you can save money with easyfundraising by taking advantage of the regular special offers and money off deals that you won't find in the shops or on the retailers own sites.

Lets all try to use the fundraising search engine via the web page on our site please.

Regards,

Ammendment to program

Happy New Year everyone.
It's just been brought to my attention that there is an error on the downloadable program.
Please note that the 19th February is half term so there won't be a meeting that week.
The program displayed on the website is the correct one. If you have already downloaded it or you have the printed one handed out at the last meeting then please make sure you ammend it as per the online version. Sorry for the confusion.

Don't forget this Friday your subs are due so please try to make sure you bring them with you.

See you all Friday.

Christmas Hike SATURDAY 19th December

Okay here are details of the Christmas hike.

We will be meeting outside Ashgate Croft School and leaving at 9.30am sharp on the Saturday morning.
Please ensure you have all the correct gear, waterproofs, warm clothing, decent footwear, packed lunch & warm drink. Anyone not deemed to have suitable clothing will not be allowed to take part.
We will then drive in convoy to Castleton where the walk will start around the Mam Tor peak. It is anticipated to last approx 4 hrs.

Transport.
The leaders will be taking their own cars and will accomodate passengers where we can, but we ask that parents can help out with the transportation. If you can offer a lift it would be appreciated. Parents are welcome to come along, but please make sure you have suitable clothing also.

See you all Saturday
